Overall the app is great. We were really concerned about her inability to retain new information and my daughter is not the kind of kid who wants to sit down and look at screens but this is able to catch her attention. She does really well with it and I think she's going to be ahead by the time she starts kindergarten in the fall.
Every parent needs a hero. Enter this App. We needed something educational for our 4 year old that we could trust her to use without us hovering over her. There are NO in App adds, no garbage, and the music is boommmb. My daughter completes the lessons and thinks singing the songs is the reward. App works great, after sitting with her the first few times she's able to complete the lessons while I work around the house. Cheaper than the other apps and the granddaddy of phonics.Let's go!!!
I give it a zero if I can. I was charged 24.69. I been trying to login still having issues for week it ridiculous. I'm not pleased. I received the books. The first time and I tryed to cancel few weeks I can't cause I can't figure it out then I got a charge balance. I'm disputing with my bank this dumn. My child who is autistic and ADHD wanted to learn. And never got the experience at all very upsetting and fustrating. I need a phone number for direct call. I want my money back.
Customer service unreliable My family tried hooked on phonics and ABC mouse. My kids were more engaged by ABC mouse so I made sure to try and cancel my free trial. Tried on the app sends you to the online dashboard. I get an error reached out to customer service as I got a welcome to HoP email. They said as long as on my app it says subscription ending it is. Low and behold I am charged today and I see no such subscription on my app store. Seems like trickery. Why can they not see your status?
I purchased hooked on phonics two days ago and installed the app, once app was installed I haven't been able to get past the 1st screen with the animals and the website doesn't offer anything for my child to do or anything to learn from while the app is being fixed. I've even installed the app on my mobile and our tablets waited while it spun for nearly a hour and still nothing. Says the latest update was to fix the bugs for this issue, I think you should try again because it isn't working.
If you download this app you can't get the $1 deal from the website or easily sign up for any other plan. Horrible service, do not recommend if you want to avoid a headache

Charging you over and over. Customer service takes forever. Tried canceling over and over. Try ABC Mouse this app isn't worth your time or money.
I am very disappointed in this app and the whole Hooked on Phonics system. I used HOP years ago for my children and many others. Was great and I recommended to many. Fast forward to now and the system hardly ever works. The app seems stuck and can not move forward. I will be cancelling my subscription today!
Paid for a subscription but it still would not let me access the content. Glad I was only charged the 7.99 luckily I didn't buy more because I recieved no content.
